Strategy
Their strategy is to extend their global leadership in specialist ground
engineering through both organic growth, particularly in
developing markets,and targeted acquisitions.

There are four key elements to our
strategy:

1.Transfer of technologies 
and methods within our current geographic regions

-Introduction of piling in Malaysia Technical support from EMEA

  1.  Equipment from Singapore, EMEA and Australia
  2.  Operational input from Singapore and Australia

– Introduction of piling in Brazil
1. Operational input from UK

– GETEC monitoring system, from Germany
1. successful deployment on London’s Crossrail
project.

2.Design and build capability
and offering alternative solutions

– Around 45% of 2012 revenue
 from design and build contracts


3.Expansion
into new, higher-growth 
geographic regions


– Acquisition of Geo-Foundations (completed
January 2013), building on Hayward Baker’s
organic growth in Canada
– Successful completion of first contract
in Turkey
– First major contract in Hong Kong for many
years
– Further development of fledgling businesses
in Vietnam, Indonesia and Qatar
– Selective opportunities in French and Spanish
speaking territories


4.Acquisition and development 
of new technologies and

– Geotextile sand columns
– Complete excavation pits
– Hollow precast pi
